CONTENUR QUALITY ZONE CONFERENCE

The occasion to see Polish production plant of CONTENUR GROUP was a conference CONTENUR QUALITY ZONE organized as an event on the fifth anniversary of company’s activity in Poland from April 7th to 8th 2016. Practical part of the conference was held in the factory and Castle and Park Complex in Baranów Sandomierski was a place of multimedia presentation. The most important communal companies were represented at the conference. On behalf of CONTENUR POLAND management team, financial director Jarosław Peret welcomed the guests. At the beginning safety instructions were presented to visitors. Then conference participants were split into two groups: one of them was guided in production hall by production director Benedykt Wąż and the other- by one of maintenance specialists. Production lines of two wheel bins and four wheel containers as well as customization stands were presented. The visitors asked many questions. They were surprised with the level of automatization and also the precision of manual part of manufacturing process. They also appreciated the fact that the factory was a source of incomes for several dozens of Polish families of not only sales and administration employees but also professionals working in production. Next stage was participation in quality tests of containers done by quality specialist Paweł Bury. The participants witnessed following tests:
    • drop test (3 m height) of fully loaded two wheel bin
    • drop test (2,5 m height) of fully loaded four wheel container
    • ball test- hitting bottom and walls of frozen container
    • RFID chips slots durability test
    • high temperature endurance test
    • lid durability test
    • reinforcements and color durability test
    • stability test
  • The level of strict technical requirements that the containers had to meet was really appreciated by the guests. They noticed that the temperature range of examinations was from -18°C to +90°C. Most spectacular test was the drop of fully loaded four wheel containers. It looked like it was also the floor durability test. Although it was repeated several times both the container and the floor survived. Also a frozen bin proved to keep technical parameters by passing the ball test. Reliability of RFID chips slots was proved by hooking 10 kg weight up. The participants were also reminded that it is possible to have the RFID chips installed during production process. A container heated up to 90°C did not get deformed although it must be admitted that proper way of doing the temperature tests requires products to be exposed to the temperature for many hours which was not possible due to time frames of the conference. The lid heated up to 40°C and exposed to 40 kg weight also kept its technical parameters. Also the rest of technical test were passed positively. Some of the guests admitted that participation in the presentation made them realize what gives TÜV SÜD certificate confirming conformity of products with technical requirements of EN 840 and RAL-GZ 951/1 standards as well as TÜV mark and GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit) quality mark pressed on containers. Like in all respected institutions the practical part was followed by theoretical one that consisted of two stages. First one was a presentation on history of both localizations of the conference (Polish CONTENUR factory in Mielec town and the castle in Baranów town), interesting tips about the products as well as company’s strategy for following years done by commercial director Gabriel Grabowski. Although having visited the factory no one would deny that CONTENUR GROUP was a very innovative enterprise it was quite a surprise to hear that the company owned 167 patented solutions. Second stage of theoretical part of conference was a short test checking the knowledge on communal waste containers carried out by regional managers: Paweł Donimirski and Rafał Tomczak. It must be admitted that the level of knowledge among guest was high. The whole conference was coordinated by sales support specialist Joanna Żmuda-Macender that in daily business provides that CONTENUR products are delivered to end-users on time and according to customer’s specification.
