2200 and 3200 side-loading containers. Design, reliability and resistance

True to our policy for continuous improvement, both in our processes and in our product development, we have subjected our F series range of2200 and 3200 side-loading containers to a series of trials to certify them according to the European standard EN-12574 and check their resistance and reliability under extreme conditions. The tests were carried out in the laboratory at our head offices in Madrid. Our laboratory, staffed by specialised technical personnel, is registered by TÜV – SÜD for product homologation. In order to obtain the EN- 12574-1-2-3 certification, our containers were subjected to the following trials: dimensional control in accordance with the criteria established in the regulations; cold impact trial on body and lids; impact trial on inclined plane; stability trial on inclined plane with the container both loaded and empty; trial for cracking due to internal forces; test for weather resistance and atmospheric agents with analysis of colour and mechanical properties of the material and safety trial using a mannequin. In all the cases, the trials were passed with flying colours. Furthermore, and in order to meet the requirements and concerns shown by some of our more demanding customers, we load our products with 300 kg and we subject them to 3500 lifting cycles, an amount that corresponds to approximately 10 years of container use. Likewise, we subject the pedal that is fitted onto all the containers to a test of 180,000 cycles, equivalent to 50 openings every day, 365 days a year over a 10 year period. In both cases the results of the trials were completely satisfactory, as no incidence occurred whilst the tests were being carried out.
